Steve founded Sober Strategies Inc. in February 2020. With more than 36 years in recovery himself, he brings both lived experience and a professional background in substance use disorder agencies and correctional facilities, including time as a Parole Officer. At Sober Strategies, Steve leads Saturday morning group sessions and offers individual therapy during the week, meeting people where they are in their recovery journey.

Gabi has been walking alongside people in recovery for more than 40 years. Her compassion and dedication were recently recognized with a prestigious award from the Iowa Corrections Association, honoring her unwavering support of clients and their recovery journeys. Known for her honesty and care, Gabi has earned the trust of lawyers and judges across Iowa, who value her guidance and recommendations. Gabi leads the Wednesday night group session and offers all of our other services during the week.
